Everyone would be very different if they were able to recall full memories. The only memories they have are what they read about and what Big Brother is telling them. If the people in 1984 could remember full memories Big Brother would most likely not exist considering Big Brother is controlling their thoughts and actions. Life would be more like it is today in the real world than in this alternate universe where the government has complete control over you.
