Do you think O'Brien is trustworthy or treacherous? Why?
Why is the motif of dreams so important?
If your feelings were being suppressed, would you feel the need to rebel like Julia and Winston or live the life the party intended? Why?
What did you think when Winston and Julia went to visit O'Brien?
I believe it is very poorly thought out to visit O'brien. As a party member, he might have more telescreens or other types of controlling devices watching him at all times. O'brien is more highly respected and cannot be interacting with rebels. Because Winston and Julia show up at O'briens house together, they are openly admitting to having interactions previously to this situation. This allows for a better chance of getting caught. Their actions might prove to be very deadly.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Winston and Julia`s unannounced visit to O`Brien is a poor choice. Winston does not know O`Brien very well and he does not know how trustworthy he truly is. I have suspicion that O`Brien could be trying to set Winston and Julia up.
